Three days away from school

11 Oct

Hello French team, your post about your week at the seaside in September reminded me of a little tour we had last year.

We stayed at a hostel near a lake for two nights. There were some bungalows, class rooms, a table tennis room, an exhibition about nature, a playground and a little zoo.

We had a lecture on the environment at the hostel and then walked with a guide to the mountain Kickelhahn.  There was a big tower. We climbed the tower and then we had a very nice view.

On the next day we went to the University of Ilmenau to take part in lectures for children. First we went to a television studio. We learned how movies are made and could record ourselves. 🙂 Then we had the lecture. It was very interesting because it was about computer games!

After this lecture, we went back to the hostel. There the people had prepared a camp fire. It was very nice. In the evening the boys went to their room and  played Monopoly with Mrs. Ullrich. 🙂

On the last day we went to a toboggan run. That was  fun!  We all were  breathless after this activity. 🙂

Did you sing around the camp fire?

From Nature to computer games, Wow!

That place http://www.sfz-ilmenau.de/allgemein/index.html offers several activities. We went there in November because that is the only time when the local university – by the way, MP3-technology was invented there 😉 – holds lectures for kids.
I think our trip was a bit like yours…the only difference: the weather 😉 …and maybe accommodation too – most girls thought it wasn’t comfortable enough…

The weather wasn’t too good, is that it? That’s something we can share with you in Brittany. We are always looking at the sky because it can always fall on us 😉 We were lucky that week last september. As soon as we got back to school, it started raining 😉

You can’t trust the weather forecast 😉 It was surprisingly cold…when we left our bungalows in the morning the lake was frozen. And in the evening we had to put blankets around our shoulders at the camp fire 😀
You had great weather for great activities 😉
