Winter

04 Dec

by Marc

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERAWinter is a special season , because you can do many things  which you can´t do in other seasons .

I like  winter , because I can skate and play icehockey , you can´t do that in summer , autumn or spring . Moreover you can ride sledge , have a snowball match , build an iglu and so, I think , that’s a wonderful season .

But  winter is not always good , it can be scary , because the streets can be slippery . So many accidents can happen with broken cars and injured or dead people .

How do you like winter ? What, do you think, is good and what is bad in the winter season?

    Hi Mark,

What an impressive snowman 😉 Here, by the AtlanticOcean, it is hard to make such snow statues, they melt within 24 hours, not to talk about building igloos , which must be a lot of fun.

I love winter only in pictures. However, I find summertime great! Sea, warmth, light clothes, long lasting daylight and so many other nice things. Last but not least, meetings with old good friends!!!!

Hello Mrs Marie-France and Vasiliki . How cold is it in winter at the Atlantic ? Do you never have a lot of snow and can you do a snowball-match with your friends ?

For us Christmas and snow go hand in hand,Mrs Vicky, we really dream of a white Christmas 😀
But as our town is situated in the river valley we don’t get as much as the villages in the mountains.

We always wait for a white Christmas, too! But we don’t always get it … mountains around are pretty white at the moment, so let’s hope we’ll see the snow covering everything down here, too 🙂

@Marie-France, haven’t I seen a snowman in one of your posts on the blog you had with Mrs Vicky and Marika?

@Italian team, nice to see there is someone sharing our enthusiasm about snow 😀
We seem to live in similar surroundings…apart from your mountains being higher, right?

@ Mrs U: you found the post. Well done 😉

@ Marc: you will have an idea how it is where we live when it snows. It is so rare but it does snow by the Atlantic Ocean. Click on the link Mrs U found in a former blog.
The snowman is a woman: a typical Breton woman with her ” Bigouden” headdress on :

Have a look at how old (…and young for festivals) Breton ladies wear on their heads, in the south of our country:

@ Mrs U: are these animals kept in a park in Hildburghausen? If so, who feeds them?

@Mrs Munar: It’s not only that I noticed the snow, I’ve also found out you can steer it moving your cursor across the screen 😀
