Christmas thoughts

12 Dec

Last week pupils wrote a paragraph on Christmas, here are some of their thoughts:

I wish all children in the world can enjoy a happy Christmas. (Marta)
I wish the world could have a bit of peace and happiness on Christmas Eve to make Christmas a special day. (Marco I.)
I hope that on Christmas day all the people living on this planet will have food and where to live. (Chiara B.)
I hope every child in the world will receive a present at Christmas. (Alice)
I hope everyone can smile!! (Lorenzo)

What’s your Christmas thought?

The class had some guests visiting the school, too. Here is the Christmas tree they made to welcome them:

I would like to quote two extracts of the letter we got in the parcel from Greece: “It is so nice for children to go to school, to learn new things and to open their minds ” ” “our different Christmas tree is there to remind us that not all the children in the world share the same good luck”.

Indeed Marie, that’s what came out in our class and it’s good that pupils open their mind a little further to think of how different faces can the world show. Thanks for your thought.

Right now people here donate millions of Euros to support people in need, surely an effect of what we call Christmas spirit…but I wished people didn’t wait until Christmas to think of each other…

@ Mrs U: I do agree, let’s see it as a starting point, though. Then open hearts will do their job, I want to think positive πŸ™‚

@ Giovanna, that was meant to be positive…I myself am a nicer person at this time of the year πŸ˜‰ I just wished for the future people were like that more often… myself included πŸ™‚
