Our blog’s poem

02 May

While getting ready for some good energetic music (rock of course) and tasting French style pastry to face the final school tests … why don’t we write a poem together?

Here is a fashonable (very owlie ;)) messanger who will carry it across the miles …

owl messanger by Matteo S.

owl messanger by Matteo S.

                 Across the miles I fly,

but not too high in the sky,

to see all the views with my eyes!

With my wings I go on every day,

                with my mind I will follow my way;

                I’m looking for a friend …

Would you like to add your lines and/or your pictures? 🙂

Do we write the next part of the poem with a drawing on this post or do we publish a new one?

Would you like us to send the poem and drawing to you? We can’t make additions to your post.

@ Giovanna & Mrs U: up to you. A blog administrator can make additions to a post any time 🙂

Well, I suggest any new addition should be a new post, the poem will be written from the biginning and pics taken from the media library, so that anyone can use the previous ones and add theirs 🙂 a maximum of three posts each, not to make it too long, what do you think?

    Fine with me 😉

Fine with me too. That way everybody will be able to publish their ideas, but don’t you think too many posts on the same topic will distract the readers’ attention? They will have to scroll down a lot to find other posts. Of course we could delete the previous versions of the poem, but then all the comments would get lost…I know, I am a very pragmatic person…

That’s why I suggested to add our kids’ poems to Giovanna’s on her post 😉

what do you think of that? no drawing yet…

    Across the miles I send
    blog messages without an end
to share all the views with my words
with our stories we share our day
with my mind I follow your way
    In you I’ve found a friend …

This stanza is beautiful and very moving, I think. Let’s see if we can do a good job with it.

Shall we make it with three or four posts altogether, then? If we just edit the first one with new lines we won’t give the idea of the progress of the work, I think. We can add our lines in the comments of course, then publish a new post when we have, say … , 3 new additions? In this way there won’t be too many comments to scroll down after the first post and it will be possible to read it from the beginning after a while. Pics could be published when the poem is completed for the presentation version 😉 What do you think?

Anything would be fine with me, Giovanna. Why don’t you update your post every evening, add the date and country and move the post to the top pf the page? So everybody will be able to see the progress 🙂 We could give you the poems in the comments and pics in the media library… maybe publishing the respective comments won’t be necessary.
Anyway, you are the one leading that activity, so it’s up to you. 🙂

Just had another idea: What about each country publishing their own parts and in the end you combine everything and create our poem 🙂
